E3 Me Too, Review.

Okay so E3 has come and gone. What a great expo it was for all us gamers.

PC:
My favorite game from the show was Will Wright's Spore. It looks so awesome (30min video), too bad it isn't coming out until next year and its only available on the PC so far (I am a Mac person). Here is a quick impression (HT: boomtown).

Why I like it:
1. Infinite play. It is so vast.

2. Combines and simplifies a lot of genres -
pac-man, exploration, RTS, SimCity, and Risk.

3. It just looks awesome. The graphics and animation are unbelievable.

Wii:
Next is the awesomeness that is Super Mario Galaxy. Here are some impressions - joystiq, 4cr, ign. This looks like it is going to be super fun. I did not really like Super Mario Sunshine, but Galaxy really looks like it will be a throwback to Super Mario World and Super Mario 64 both of which were excellent games. Also Wii Sports looks like it is going to be great fun for the whole family. A preview (HT: cvg).

Why I like it:
1. "It's ah Mario" returns.

2. A new form of control. The Wiimote.

3. It just looks like tons of fun.

XBox360:
Now, I am not too fond of Microsoft and its products but this game exclusively for the 360 looks so freak'n cool - Gears of War. Here is some game footage (HT: ign). Of course there is another little known game that is going to be a killer title...Viva PiƱata. It looks sooooooooo cute.

PS3:
Too expensive $$$.

PS2:
Okami looks so interesting and beautiful. I think it is going to be a blast to play. Like playing through a painting. Truly a work of art.
